FAQ: Will updating the firmware delete all settings?

No, not normally when you update to a newer (or the same) firmware version. Only when downgrading to an older firmware version the Quest will factory reset itself, to ensure there are no confilcts between existing settings in memory (from the newer firmware) and now non-existent functions.
