FAQ: Why is the Quest much cheaper in the US and can I buy one there? It's all a matter of taxes and shipping. On average the Quest is 50% more expensive in Europe than in the US. You can buy a Quest in the United States and use it in Europe, but it then will have a US basemap (since Garmin doesn't sell the Atlantic version in the US) and 115MB of memory instead of 243MB. And you get the US City Select maps with it. So, to use it in Europe you will need to buy the European City Select separately. Adding up all the cost the difference is small... And for a few Euro's you will not get the Atlantic basemap and need to download detailed maps for every location you want to travel. Buying a US Quest will only make sense if you go to the US often and use the Quest there.
