HOWTO: project waypoint from current location

The Quest does not have a "Project waypoint" function other (off-road) GPS receivers have. But there is a way to project a waypoint at a know distance in a know direction.

This is our current location, as shown on the Quest map screen.

If we use the cursor pad to move the cursor, a black information border appears at the bottom of the screen. It not only shows the GPS coordinates of the Map Pointer, but also the distance and heading from our current location. So, by moving the cursor in the (approximate) direction of where we have to project a waypoint and moving the cursor until the heading and distance match, we almost have projected a waypoint.

By tapping  (not holding it, as it will mark your current location!), we create a waypoint at the Map Pointer location, which is where we are "projecting" the waypoint.

We can now alter all fields as desired and can also see the direction and distance, to confirm the projection.
