Other symbols, 24x24 pixels (for use with the 276C and other compatible units):
To use them in Mapsource, rename them to [number].bmp (where [number] is a number from 000 to 063 for the Quest) if needed and put them into the My DocumentsMy GarminCustom Waypoint Symbols directory. To use them on the Quest, rename them to Waypoint Symbol [number].bmp, where the numbers are the same as the numbers used for the icons for Mapsource, and upload them to the Quest with xImage.
Beware! If you get errors transferring them to the Quest with xImage and are using the correct naming convention (see paragraph above), this is probably because the Quest is set to another language than English. Setting the language to English temporarily will get you around this error, renaming the files to the localized naming convention will also help (see xImage's screen for that one).
Symbols are from various sources, among others the Groundspeak forums, GSAK, Robert Elsinga, Bram Eijkman, Helmuth Schutzeich, Guido PSchmidt, Ralph Kellers, Emanuel, P. Lefteris. Marine/navigation symbols by Jos Pacilly.
