HowTo: create an automatic route from another location

If you want to create a route that does not start on your current location, you have two options: you follow the HowTo: create a manual route with via points that follows roads (but that is only available from firmware version 2.09beta upwards) or you follow this HowTo.

You start by setting the GPS V to Indoor Mode, by going to the satellite screen, pressing Menu, selecting Use Indoor and pressing Enter. You now are Simulating GPS reception and the V does not track the satellites. Now we again press Menu.
We select New Location and press Enter.
Select Use Map and press Enter.
Now move the pointer to the start of the route you want to create (use Zoom In and Zoom out if you like) and press Enter. The GPS V now sets it location to the coordinates of the pointer and you can use Find to create an automatic route to the desired destination.

When you are using firmware version 2.09beta or newer, I suggest you follow the HowTo: create a manual route with via points that follows roads, since it is much easier.
